As an agency based in the heart of Manchester city centre, we see the proof of these homelessness stats every day. But being aware of the issue, and really understanding what it’s like to be homeless, are two very different things. So, while of course we’ll be taking part in The Manchester Sleepout to raise awareness and money to support the cause, we were inspired by the event because it would give us a small glimpse into the hardships people face around Manchester every single night.

If you’d like to find out more about The Manchester Sleepout, visit – boothcentre.org.uk. If you’d like to see how it went, keep scrolling down...

The Manchester street count in 2018 saw a 34% rise compared to 2017. That included a 64% increase in females and a 140% rise in young people (18-25).*

From all the team at COUCH Health, we want to say a huge thank you to those who donated to the Manchester Sleepout 2019 and gave their support. The final total that we raised was £2,522.30!

This money will go into the central funding pot for the Booth Centre, ensuring that they can continue their great work. But to fully understand the impact that your donation makes, this Christmas, the money we raised will equate to:

100 warm welcome gifts at the Booth Centre that include a brew, hot shower, cooked breakfast and an advice session for someone who is homeless this winter. Helping people to get the right support to realise a better future.

Thanks to these donations and the amazing work from the Booth Centre, we can really help those in need at Christmas. And if you fancy spreading the word and getting others to donate, you can do so at boothcentre.org.uk.
